"And still of a winter's night, they say, when the wind is in the trees,
When the moon is a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas,
When the road is a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor,
A highwayman comes ridingó
A highwayman comes riding, up to the old inn-door."
The previous was the second to last verse of Alfred Noyes' poem, The Highwayman, which was also turned into a song by Loreena Mckennitt (sp?).
The Highwayman is played by two characters in an old rp of mine, Ciel, and my friend's Oc, Leith, who play the roles of the handsome highwayman and Bess, the landlord's daughter, respectively.
